Tucson, AZ — The Daniel Butierez for Congress campaign demonstrated significant grassroots momentum at its latest meet & greet event last night in North Tucson. The successful event, hosted by Doyle & Sue Taraba and Miki Abatecola, drew an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for Butierez’s candidacy in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
“The turnout last night proves Southern Arizona is ready for change,” said Daniel Butierez. “What touched me most was seeing folks from every corner of our community coming together. Teachers, ranchers, small business owners, veterans – they all see that we need to make Southern Arizona safe again. I’m proud to be an Arizona native who shares their values and understands what’s at stake.”
The event, which featured food and games as advertised, brought together more than 40 supporters representing various age groups and backgrounds, unified in their support for Butierez’s vision. Campaign signs proclaiming “It’s Time for a Change” and “Make Southern Arizona Safe Again” highlighted key campaign messages that have connected with voters throughout the district.
The gathering featured passionate supporters wearing campaign colors and holding signs promoting the core themes of hope, unity, and community. Veterans, seniors, families, and local community leaders all came together to show their support for bringing change to Congressional representation.
“In Daniel, voters from all walks of life see a true Arizona-bred fighter who represents their values,” said event co-host Doyle Taraba. “The energy and diversity in this room reflects what our campaign is all about – bringing our community together for positive change.”
The campaign has already begun organizing additional events across the district, with volunteer sign-ups exceeding initial projections. Early fundraising goals were surpassed at the kick-off event, positioning the Butierez campaign for a strong start in the race.
Daniel Butierez is a true Arizona fighter with family roots stretching back to 1900 in this state. A Tuscon businessman, he owns companies that give second chances to veterans, people fighting addiction, and those reentering society. After overcoming his own wrongful conviction, Butierez spent 30 years clearing his name before the State admitted its error in 2019. Now he’s running for Congress to fight to keep our border secure, slash taxes where appropriate, and crush the fentanyl crisis destroying Arizona families.
